The goal of Client is to offer a wide range of renowned brands of clothing, clothing accessories, and footwear from around the world at premium locations.
Client was in need of a professional and skilled team that could develop a new data analytics platform for the different business departments within their company, e.g., retail, wholesale, inventory, purchasing, profitability, finance, and marketing.
The new platform was supposed to bring together data from multiple countries in the region, each using a different implementation of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV system.
We were contracted to first analyze the system and decide which solution would be best for the needs of the data analytics platform. Eventually we decided on a Microsoft technology stack and a new data warehouse database, following their company standards and procedures. It was necessary to develop all reports using Power BI as a presentation tool, but it was also necessary to transfer data from multiple sources into their DWH system by creating ETL pipelines.
We were able to work with multiple company departments, like finance and accounting, wholesale, IT, HR, advertising, and marketing.
In the beginning, we get acquainted with the project and the necessary technical roles.
When we get the appropriate specification for the project, we give an estimate of man-hours for each position required. In addition, we analyze the specification and further refine and contribute to it, thereby enriching it.
After accepting the offer and signing the contract, we start with a kick-off meeting and a detailed introduction of our team members and the client’s. The development phase is put into place for two weeks while the agreed functions are delivered and tested.
